They're a non-profit, no-kill, no-cage, dog and cat sanctuary. We've seen the wonderful work they do first-hand. Another very easy way you can help your local animal shelter is to always be on the lookout for supplies. If you're a garage sale fan like I am, keep watching for cheap or free towels, blankets, beds, leashes, new toys, etc. Keep your "stash" in the garage until the pile gets too big, and then drop everything off at your local shelter! Rinse, repeat! ; ) Thrift stores, dollar stores, flea markets, and even your own shelves and cast-offs are great sources for items you can donate, too. It's really quite painless, and the critters (as well as the shelters) will really appreciate it! Truly, every little bit helps. Woof, meow, and chirp right back atcha.
